Because of the demand for our services, we are regularly looking for qualified personnel to fill our landscaping jobs. Openings occur year-round as we continue to grow and add clients. We currently have a range of landscaping jobs including:

Project Manager Expand

Position Goal:  To install custom landscapes in an efficient manner to make company profitable.

Responsibilities :

Project Management

Acquire all materials, subcontractors and equipment needed to install a landscape job according to the agreement set up by the designer/estimators.  You will need to manage and sometimes train crewmembers on the installation process.

Client Interaction

You will be required to attend a pre-walkthrough meeting with the client and designer/estimator present to review the job at hand to make sure all that are involved are on the same page.  You will need to contact the client on a daily basis to let them know where we are at in the project and what the next step will be.  You will also need to perform a final walkthrough on the project and take care of any expressed concerns.  You will also collect all payment installments throughout the course of the project.

Operations

You will be assigned a vehicle, skid loader, dump and cargo trailer as well as an assortment of smaller power/hand tools.  You will be required to perform regular maintenance and general upkeep of all equipment assigned to you.  This will be checked on a bi-weekly basis.  You will also set out daily goals for your crews and assign deadlines in which they are expected to be met.  If a warranty issue arises, you will be required to address that on your own time.

Administrative

We cannot improve our performance in the office until we get feedback from the field.  You will track not only man-hours of your crewmembers, but will also track production rates for the various items that we install.  You will also need to track all paperwork associated with your installation job and file in the appropriate place.

Snow Removal

You will be required to perform snow removal duties during the snowy months.

The Experience

The thing that will separate us from other landscape companies is ‘the experience’ of our clients.  There are two things that will define a “win” for our company.

-Is the client thrilled with the experience and product we delivered?

-Was the job profitable for the company?

Requirements :

  • Landscape industry experience of 5 years minimum
  • Winners Mindset…Self driven individual that sees the big picture…Whatever it takes attitude
  • Comfortable with technology (tablets and smartphones)
  • Valid Driver’s License with no previous infractions…you need to be insurable
  • Presentable appearance and communication skills with highly affluent people
  • Ability to work in a team environment and lead crew members

How this position contributes to our success

We can present designs and proposals until we are blue in the face, but if we cannot get them installed in an efficient manner with great end results we are nothing.  You will lead our members in the field and make sure our clients are happy.  This will ensure great references in the future and will set us apart from other landscape companies in the Colorado Springs area.

Performance will be evaluated on…

  1. The client is thrilled with the final product & the overall experience.
  2. The company finished on time & within budget per your leadership and planning.
  3. Your attitude towards continual improvement.
  4. Our clients recommendations to others based on their experience.
  5. Ratings & client reviews.
  6. Profit goals are met & exceeded.

 

Crew Foreman Expand

Position Goal:  To assist leading crew with project manager and install landscapes in an efficient manner to make company profitable.

Responsibilities :

Crew Management

The crew foreman needs to be able to keep his crew members on task with the duties they are assigned by the project manager at the toolbox meetings.  This includes recognizing each person’s strengths and weaknesses so they get them the proper assistance/training in areas they need.  The crew foreman needs to assist in ideas to get landscape elements in an efficient manner in the allotted amount of time.

Communication

You must be able to effectively address any issues with the job to the crew and project manager.  You must understand the order of the phases needed to complete the job per design and communicate the progress to the project manager.  In absence of the project manager, you will need to field questions from clients and relay those to the project manager so he/she can get them addressed.  You must be able to keep conversation brief and progress of project rolling.

Operations

You need to make sure that all crew members understand and are able to complete the tasks assigned to them within the allotted amount of time given.  This includes working beside the installers, pairing them with other crew members that excel at a task that others may need more training on.  You will need to collaborate with the project manager to work/train with the crew members.  You must be able to properly review, measure and understand landscape plans so they are properly laid out in the field.  You must be able to think ahead of schedule and communicate any changes in deliveries, scope of work, or changes in order of process to project manager.  You must make

Administrative

You must assist project manager in keeping track of duties and man hours on projects when project manager is not on site.

Snow Removal

You will be required to perform snow removal duties during the snowy months.

  • Valid Driver’s License with no previous infractions…you need to be insurable
  • Presentable appearance and communication skills with highly affluent people
  • Ability to work in a team environment and lead crew members
  • Ability to run all equipment on site in a safe and efficient manner, including regular maintenance.

Field Employee/Landscape Installer Expand

Position Goal:  To ensure a quality/timely landscape installation for our clients

Responsibilities :

Landscape Installation

You will be required to follow our systems of installation for various items that we install.  You will need to be able to follow your project manager’s lead and instructions to assure a quality landscape installation that the client is thrilled with. You will need to take pride in your work, we always say, “install this as if you were installing at your mom’s house”.

 

Personal Conduct

Whether the client is there or not, someone is ALWAYS watching you!  Your conduct on a work site is always a direct reflection of the company as a whole, YOU are who the public sees and judges us upon.  It is imperative that your manners and appearance are always top notch.

 

Safety

Landscape construction is an inherently dangerous job.  We will equip you with all the knowledge and material needed for a safe work environment, it is up to you to follow our instruction and make sure there are no accidents on the job.

 

Team Player

You will be working on a crew, a TEAM.  You must work as such.  Being a team player not only infers that you will get along with others, but will also be willing to take the “sucky duty” from time to time for the better of the team.

 

Snow Removal

You will be required to perform snow removal duties during the snowy months.  This will ensure year round employment at your position, something not all landscape companies can promise.

 

Punctuality

You will always be expected to be on time and ready to work when called upon.  During the landscape season, we will work a regular schedule so this will be easy to schedule.  The winter months are more sporadic as Mother Nature will depict working hours more often.
